About LaCara
Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to turn can make it difficult to see a way forward. My goal is to create a welcoming, supportive space where you feel comfortable being yourself while working toward meaningful change. I believe therapy should be both practical and encouraging—with room for honest conversations, personal growth, and even a little laughter along the way.
I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, substance use, stress, military family concerns, and life transitions. Every person's story is different, so I tailor therapy to your unique experiences, strengths, and goals while helping you develop practical tools that create lasting change.
My approach is lively, personable, and collaborative. I draw from Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, blending evidence-based techniques with an engaging style that keeps therapy focused and meaningful. Together, we'll identify what's keeping you stuck, strengthen healthy coping skills, and build a path forward that feels authentic and sustainable.
My experience in community mental health, substance use treatment, parenting education, and working with military families has given me the opportunity to support people through many of life's most challenging seasons. No matter where you're starting, I'd be honored to walk alongside you as you build healthier relationships, greater resilience, and a more fulfilling life.
